Our experienced skippers will train you and your fellow novice crewmembers in a friendly and professional manner. The session will start with a safety briefing and then concentrate on giving you enough practical skills aboard to develop your ability and confidence to sail the yacht with the rest of the crew. Starting at either 09:30 or 13:30 from Brighton Marina you will meet your skipper and the rest of the crew. Then head down to the pontoons and onto the yachts where you will be kitted out with sailing gear, lifejacket, go through a safety briefing, then slip the lines! On leaving the marina, your skipper will take you through hoisting the sails to helming and even teach you some sailing jargon. You can get involved with the sailing as much or as little as you like, or merely enjoy the view of Brighton and Hove from a unique perspective. On returning, to the pontoon, you will have the opportunity to return to the Yacht Club for a swift half! If you are new to sailing, the yachts are perfect as they are very easy to handle but stable enough for a more challenging sail if you prefer. Aside from the sailing aspect it`s a thrilling way to get a great view of the famous Brighton sea front and pier from water. It`s a great photo opportunity so don`t forget your camera.
